Kansas – Medicaid Expansion (SB 38) was debated and passed out of Committee by the Kansas Senate Public Health & Welfare Committee. The bill was approved by the Committee but was not debated by the full Senate. Since the bill is not from an exempt committee, the bill will not be worked. The House debated and passed a telemedicine bill on the floor on Thursday (February 22). An attempt to amend Medicaid expansion onto the bill was ruled “not germane.” Given the amount of interest in this issue, many will look for an opportunity to amend a future House or Senate bill.
