Intergenerational Bible Study — The Gospel According to Harry Potter
Promptly at 9 each Sunday morning beginning May 29, everyone in the church, younger and older, is welcome to attend a Sunday school class in the Grace Room.
We will watch a portion of a Harry Potter movie and then discuss the deep truths or fallacies and the Scriptural parallels found therein. If you’ve never seen the Harry Potter movies or read the books, this class promises to open your mind to an interesting new world. If you are familiar with this international phenomenon, then you know how profound and fascinating this Christian allegory is.
It’s not required, but it’s highly recommended that you read J. K. Rowling’s first literary masterpiece prior to seeing the movie. The first movie we’ll watch is “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”.

- June 5: chapters 7-11.
- June 12: chapters 12-17
- June 19: remaining chapters
