SENIOR PASS FOR NATIONAL PARKS

As of August 28, the lifetime Senior Pass will increase from $10 to $80 or a new $20 annual Senior Pass will become available at the same time. U.S. citizens or permanent residents 62 years or older are eligible for the Senior Pass and provide access to more than 2,000 recreation sites. The passes cover entrance and standard amenity (day use) recreation fees, provide discounts on some expanded amenity recreation fees and traveling companions can also enter for free.

NOTE: The cost of obtaining a Senior Pass through the mail or online is $20. $10 for the Senior Pass and $10 for processing the application and MUST be postmarked before August 28. Online application form or purchase https://store.usgs.gov/recreational-passes . Applicants must provide documentation of age and residency or citizenship. These passes may take as long as 12 weeks to receive. Senior Passes are immediately available for purchase without the $10 processing fee at the Great Plains Nature Center (6232 E. 29th St. N.) between 10am – 4 pm, Monday-Saturday and 9am-5pm, Sunday, in the Gift Shop with cash or check ONLY. Golden Age Passports are no longer sold. However, these passes will continue to be honored according to the provisions of the pass.
