With the hecticness of today’s society, we sometimes forget that each of us has a unique gift that only we can give. The overwhelming call of work commitments, family responsibilities, and the multiple atrocities happening in our own backyard and around the world, can drain the energy out of a person, stripping away the joy. It is during these times that one must recognize the need to reconnect with their unique talent to bring the joy back to life. This might mean saying No to a commitment that you would usually say yes to, and that’s okay.
Recognizing our own limits and abilities to retain the joy in giving back to life, is an important skill that society does not tend to teach or reward, but it is the one skill that continues to give back to the joy once found and implemented.
