What a week!!!! After two years of anticipation, this week we welcome Carolyn and Ken to the family. A joyous occasion indeed. Several congregants spent extra time last week providing meals, unpacking and getting them settled into their new home. Thank you all. I know she was looking forward to writing her sermon at her desk once we got the boxes of books out of the way.
Carolyn has been spending her first week getting familiar with the church, getting to know the staff, meeting with the welcoming committee, and learning her new role. While this week will be a whirlwind of activities for Carolyn, the coming weeks should start having her settling into a more standard cadence. She is eager to get to know each of you and become a working part of the family. Feel free to say hello and give a warm welcome when given an opportunity.
Many thanks to everyone in the congregation and staff for sticking with us the last two years. None of us expected this journey to have taken us this long, but I have faith that we will all start to reap the rewards of the process.
