It’s summer time. It’s time to relax and enjoy each other’s company. And here at PVCC we are busy eating. This Sunday is Father’s Day and we are all invited to bring our appetite and come for breakfast at 9:30. Next Sunday, June 23, we are going to “Build a Better Burger” and celebrate the capital campaign. Then, on June 30th, we will have a Hootenanny song fest so be sure to let Jeff or Judy or Pamela or myself know you favorites. We will also receive new members into our fellowship on the 30th. Let me know if you want to join this great family. If you are not ready to formally become a member but want to participate in this wonderful fellowship we are glad to welcome you. We all join together in extending a BIG THANKS again to the Hospitality team for their creative and delicious work this summer.
I also want to thank Carmen Bell and Gaye Clements who have been planting new grass in the Betty Tumlinson Memorial Garden, and to the Men’s Group for the work they have done. The garden looks nice. Our thanks go out to all who have worked in the garden and who continue to care for it.
And thanks also to the Ministerial Search Team for their faithful work on behalf of all of us. Members of the team are encouraged by all the feedback from the congregation. They will continue to meet through the summer months to finalize the congregational profile. I cannot tell you when the profile will be completed, but I want to assure you that the excellent team you asked to take on this task are faithfully doing the work.
Don’t forget that Chat and Chew meets on Sunday mornings throughout the summer. The Wednesday morning Bible study group and the Sunday evening Bible study group will continue to meet throughout the summer.
PVCC is a gem. I am glad to be part of this fantastic community.
