BRING BACK OUR GIRLS

From Faith Sharing . . . Muffin

Faith Sharing has placed those words on our outside sign so show our unity with the Nigerian people grieving the loss of their daughters, sisters and cousins who were recently abducted. Thanks to Amanda and Carrie, some of the girls have become more personal to us through the distribution of their names.  Carrie and Amanda also looked up the meaning of some of the names: Yana (God is gracious), Awa (river), Tabitha (gazelle), Esther (star), Aisha (she who lives, life), Abigail (the father’s joy), Ruth (companion, friend, vision of beauty), Monica (counselor) and Rahila (traveler).  As you pray for the safety of these young women, include all people world-wide who are in harms way simply for wanting an education.

From TWK . . . Amanda

Last Sunday we each took names of girls who have been kidnapped in Nigeria to pray for each individual. These also remind us to pray for all in this situation: families and communities who have had their daughters stolen from them, the men and women who have been deployed to find these girls, and also for the members of Boko Haram, as Jesus challenges us to do.
