Rabbi Moti Reiber to speak at PVCC

Rabbi Moti Reiber, the Executive Director of Kansas Interfaith Action, will speak at Pine Valley Christian Church on Sunday, April 30 at 10:00 am.

KIFA is a statewide, multi-faith issue-advocacy organization that puts faith into action by educating, engaging and advocating on behalf of people of faith and the public regarding critical social, economic and climate issues of justice.  KIFAs mission is to bring the moral voice to public policy discussions in Kansas.

This year, KIFA has testified and organized around KanCare expansion, guns on campus, fair budgeting and taxation, voter suppression and more.  Rabbi Rieber will inform us on the continuing work of KIFA and what is happening now in Topeka.

Rabbi Moti Rieber has served as Executive Director of Kansas Interfaith Action and its predecessor organization, Kansas Interfaith Power & Light, since March of 2011. He is a graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Wyncote, Pennsylvania.

A life-long activist on peace, social justice, and environmental issues, Reb Moti brings a variety of pulpit, interfaith, and organizational experience to the work of Kansas Interfaith Action. Reb Moti and his wife, Suzy, live with their three children in Overland Park.
