It’s been a long week at Pine Valley. Last Saturday, Carolyn was admitted to the hospital to accomplish additional testing in hopes of finding what was causing her discomfort and pain since Father’s Day. Through that testing, the doctors have identified the problem and are working to get her back on the healing path. Unfortunately, this means that Carolyn will need to be out of the office for a couple weeks. Never fear, your Mission Council is willing to help you with your needs. Please feel free to contact myself, at Nbyington@sbcglobal.net or 316.259.2580, or the appropriate Spirit Team leader to assist with anything that you need assistance with in regards to the church. At the current moment, we are not sure when Carolyn will be back in the office, though she plans to come celebrate Amanda’s last day on July 26th. In the meantime, this week’s sermon will be delivered by Rev. Renee Bridwell, Associate Regional Minister and next week’s by Rev. Steve Martin, Deputy Regional Minister.
“We become what we love and who we love shapes what we become.” St. Clare of Assisi
I find this never more true than my experiences at PVCC. It is through our ability to share our lives and actions experienced on the point of the wedge blade that shapes us and those around us. Through your encouragement, and the opportunity to be Congregational President, I find my love growing and being shaped by my experiences and your encouragement. You have provided an opportunity to better myself for us. Thank you! Take this week to reflect on what you love and how it shapes you and who you have become.
Peace and Blessings!
