MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Last week I found myself surrounded by nature while on a work trip.  After two hectic weeks of up and down roller coaster rides, it was a bit of a relief, though tainted as I had no one to share it with.  While I did not realize it at the time, those moments were important to refreshing my soul and spirit.  Summer is often a time of renewal as families take a break from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life and go on vacations.  As you look towards your summer renewal, keep the following poem that I wrote in mind.  May you find yourself quenched.

Water lapping on the shore with the breeze is forced to move the sand.

Footsteps once made are now forgotten and washed away with each wave that splashes.

White capped surf flows in and out as people fight the urge to move.

Small surfs breaking the surface. Water splashing down on itself.

People taking a break from the thoughts of everyday life. Taking for granted the art around them.

Change, the constant of the surf. In and out. Breathing towards each person.

Watch the motion, feel the breeze and the surf as it grows towards you, ever changing its path.

Watching the breakers choose a path ever so quickly. No second thoughts.

No changing its mind, right to the very edge.

Live, renew, quench.

Peace and Blessings!

Natalie
