What a service we had on Sunday! From the full seats, to the strong music, and topped off with Carolyn’s first sermon. We were blessed with learning about Carolyn’s Living Saint who encouraged her down her faith path, her father, who was in attendance. A great time was had by all.
Carolyn and Connie, reminded us that it’s not how long you live or how long you’ve been dead that makes you a saint, but in what we leave behind in the lives that we have touched. We are not always aware of the lives we have touched by the actions we have committed, but that shouldn’t stop us. Reaching out to others to share our offerings, our talents, our time, and ourselves is where Jesus began his teachings.
All Saints’ Day should not be just an annual celebration, but a celebration and remembrance of those who have blessed us with their guidance in our life. If your celebrated saint is no longer physically with you, their lessons are in your heart and soul. Carrying on these lessons continues their memory. If your saint is still living, you have a potential opportunity for blessing them back. Not only can you carry on their teachings, but you can take time to thank them for their guidance.
Take this week to think of your learned lessons and how you can carry them forward.
Peace and Blessings!
