LETTER FROM THE PV PRESIDENT

“We must be willing to let go of the life we planned…so as to have the life that is waiting for us.”

–Joseph Campbell

As parents, friends, family, and Christians, this is one of the hardest lessons to learn.  In society, we are taught to love the money, the riches, the limelight, but not all have the opportunity to attain a stature so high as what society deems to be acceptable.  As a parent, we may have a child diagnosed with something that was not in our dreams or plan for our child’s life.  As a friend or family member, we may have close people around us who are diagnosed or make decisions that are not in line with what we would want for them.

On the other hand, it is not up to us to have that dream.  As Campbell states, we sometimes have to let go of the life that we have planned.  There are other things in life that we can have when we take this lesson and apply it to our lives.  Life is much fuller when we can stop mourning what never was/will be, and live in the moment with what is around us.

Peace and blessings!

Nat
