2014 is upon us and we are actively moving forward together. The new year brings new leadership and I am looking forward to this opportunity to share not only my facilitation and leadership skills, but also my vision for a better future for all.
I thought I would take this time to share a few things I look forward to this year.
I have never been on Mission Council but creating, implementing, and sharing our vision for the church is a passion of mine. I look forward to the opportunity to work with this great set of leaders for moving our church into the future.
Everyone has a talent and it’s our job together to find how we can all share our talents with each other most effectively. I look forward to helping to grow leaders from within our congregation.
With my Certificate in Nonviolence Studies, I look forward to sharing my educational learnings with the congregation through our quarterly meetings on Everyday Nonviolence, along with Wichita’s 2014 Season of Nonviolence – “Nonviolence – a Season for Everyone” (Jan 30-Apr 4…More to come on this one).
In preparation for a smooth transition, I look forward to working with the Ministerial Search Team to transition from Search to Welcome as we look to welcome a new minister.
Most of all, I look forward to growing this year as your president through sharing our experiences together and learning as a congregation where we want to go and how we want to get there.
Thank you all for this opportunity. You are each part of the spiritual family that fills my life with love, passion, and growth.
Peace and Blessings! Natalie Byington
