FALL FESTIVAL 2014 AND PLEDGE DRIVE 2015

What a wonderful Fall Festival Kick-off last weekend.  On Saturday, fifteen youth and adults were the “feet” of God, volunteering at the ICTS.O.S. Race for Freedom.  There were 1070 runners, including Mike Byington and Jenny Greig.  Sunday worship introduced  the  Fall Festival theme, HANDS AND FEET OF GOD: CHURCH AND COMMUNITY, including the meditation by Rev. David; guest speakers Amanda Marten, Julie Lane and Phil Dietz; the slide show set to music of church members’ hands and feet by Tim Naden; the potluck organized by the Hospitality Spirit Team and the fun with hands and feet featuring our very own version of Family Feud and game show host, Gaye Clements.  Thanks to Nora Miller for providing two door prizes.

We will continue to celebrate the various ministries of the PVCC over the next five weeks during our Pledge Drive 2015.  Pledge drive brochures and pledge cards are available. The youth are building a climbing wall to depict progress toward the $126,766 pledge goal.  The pledge drive team is offering learning circles (see below) on the 2015 budget.  Please plan to join the HANDS Day on Saturday, October 4 as we spiff up the church for Carolyn and Ken’s arrival. We will wrap-up the pledge drive on October 12, celebrating the generosity of PVCC members.
