The start of the school year is drawing near! At this time each summer, we begin collecting new clothing items that can be distributed to children whose families are not in a position to buy new clothes for them. As in the past few years, the number of families struggling with poverty is great. Providing new clothes for their children helps in so many ways, but perhaps most importantly, it shows them that they are part of a community that cares about them.
Please consider helping us make this effort successful. We need new clothing items of all types, including underwear, socks, shirts and pants. We need these items in all sizes, and for both boys and girls of all school ages. We will have a collection box at PVCC to collect contributions. If you want to help, but don’t have time to shop, you can contribute specifically marked (“School Clothing Drive”) checks or cash envelopes to the PVCC collection, and we will do the shopping for you! This is a great opportunity to help children with basic needs, so they can focus their energies on LEARNING, and building successful futures for themselves.
Thanks in advance for your generosity!
