Beginning next week, The Communicator will have two formats – paper and email. The paper version will include the full length articles that will also be published on our website. The email version will have short summery teasers that will include a link to the full article on the website for those wanting to read more. The website will therefore become the central hub for all our church news. This decision was made based upon research that says you have 51 seconds to grab your reader’s attention before they move on to something else.
We will also only print the same article one time. If your article needs additional promotion, please submit a new article for publication. Research has shown that after the first publication, readers skip over and stop reading identical articles. Please plan ahead and submit articles early.
Remember, articles must be submitted by 10 AM on Wednesday for publication. All articles are edited for space, content and clarity. Attached is a form to guide you in writing your own articles or may be filled out and submitted for the office to write. The form can also be found on our website under the news & events tab and on the counter in the office. All sections on the form may not apply directly to your individual event. However, please fill in or include as much information as possible.
