Kansas Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) serves our older saints.
Kansas Christian Home is a retirement facility located in Newton, KS offering Independent Living, Tilsley Village, Post-Acute Care and Healthcare. In the loving memory and caring spirit of Jesus Christ, Kansas Christian Home exists to provide social and health services to meet the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs of its residents. Kansas Christian Home’s emphasis of service is to older adults, although recognizing God’s love has no limits.
Kansas Christian Home (KCH) was founded in 1962 by the Rev. Dr. James Tilsley and has served countless older adults giving them a place to call home at the KCH location in Newton. KCH draws inspiration from the Legacy of John (John 19:25-27) where Jesus, from the cross, entrusts the care of his mother to John. It makes the work of KCH a ministry, not just a job.
As a faith-based retirement community in relationship with the Kansas region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) they affirm God’s grace and love for all at KCH, whether they be residents, staff, family members, or benefactors. Their community represents many diverse religious backgrounds, or no religious affiliation, but maintains a home for all.
If you have an interested in this community and want more information they can be contacted at (316) 283-6600.

From the PVCC newsletter archives, this week in 1969: What will be the significant future events before the year 2000? Nineteen of our older teenagers and adult leaders met for a delicious Mexican supper and a discussion of the future. The group projected their thoughts ahead for the next 31 years to provide a context for deciding what it means to be the church now and in the years ahead.
