The Poor People’s Campaign needs your help. A National Call for Moral Revival will host the Kansas Peoples Hearing October 8, at the WSU Metroplex (5015 E. 29th St. N.) at 6:30pm.
Kansans will gather from across the state to demand a moral, justice-based agenda from elected officials and candidates (gubernatorial candidates, Representatives from all four Kansas districts, and Sedgwick county officials). Our elected officials need to stop the attention violence against injustices that affects everyone, especially those financially challenged.
Featured speakers will include fellow Kansans who are economically poor and directly impacted by unjust policies and faith leaders that will demand our elected officials take take action to fight systemic racism and poverty . They will speak against militarism, ecological devastation, and the nation’s distorted moral values.
Don’t let another election cycle pass without discussion about systemic racism, voter suppression, attacks on immigrant and native communities, and the mass criminalization and incarceration of our communities and the necessity of programs of social uplift.
