We all know what makes Pine Valley Christian Church a great place. It’s the people, the music, the dynamic worship, the good times we share with each other, and the ways we support one another when things get rough. I’ve talked about it in the past but it worth repeating. The spiritual glue of the New Testament church is found in a word best translated as “one-anothering.” The first century church was all about one-anothering: pray for one another, teach one another, support one another, encourage one another, love one another. When the Roman Emperor sent a spy to infiltrate that church to find out what Christians were like and what they were doing, the spy wrote in his report, “These people actually love one another!” We would not have it any other way. Take time this summer to tell lots of someones this good news.
We all felt the love on Sunday, June 18, Father’s Day, as we shared in the wonderful breakfast provided by the Hospitality Spirit Team. Thank you! The food was delicious and the fellowship grand. The Hospitality Spirit Team is already at work planning for our all church picnic on July 2, Freedom and Democracy Sunday. We will have a picnic theme and feel to the morning.
In friendship,
David
