50TH ANNIVERSARY

Pine Valley will be 50 years old on April 13, 2016.  So it’s time to start planning a celebration.  We will have various things going on leading up to the celebration and need everyone’s help in planning. The actual celebration will be Sunday, April 17th after church.   There are several teams to choose from and sign-up sheets will be in the foyer on Sunday.

1)  History Team – This team will comb through the old newsletters to put together all the things that Pine Valley has been involved in throughout the years.  They may also call on the long-time members to fill in blanks.  This information will be used to make a timeline that will be on the wall in the overflow room where people can see our history and even add their own memories to it.

2)  Fundraising Team – This team will look at the cost of the celebration and determine how it will be paid for. 

3)  Venues & Catering Team – On Sunday, April 17th we will gather after church at a venue to be determined with a catered lunch and celebration.  This team will look at all the options and bring their recommendations to Mission Council. This team will be led by Cheryl Roy.

 

4)  Finding Former Members Team – This team will use our membership book to try and locate current addresses for as many former members as possible. This team will be led by Gaye Clements. 

5)  Invitations & Publicity Team – This team will put together an invitation to be sent to all former members and also publicize the event. This team will be led by Muffin Overstreet.

6)  Slide Show Team – This team will take our current pictures that are digital and those from the past that are not digital and put together a slide show for the celebration.

7)  Program Team – This team will put together the program for the luncheon celebration.
