During our sermon last Sunday, Julie Lane reported on the Immokalee workers. PVCC members supported the Immokalee workers in the past when they called for a boycott of Taco Bell. These workers are now asking for our support in their efforts to encourage Wendy’s and Kroger Food to join the Fair Food Program (FFP). FFP is a ground breaking partnership among farmworkers, growers and major tomato retailers that successfully addresses decades of poverty and abuse historically associated with Florida’s tomato industry.
