Season of Pentecost

“Apparently, thousands of parents had been warned that their children would be exposed to dangerous ideas from scandalous women if we weren’t uninvited. Of course, if no one had ever been exposed to dangerous ideas from scandalous women, Christianity itself would not have had its unique nor its glorious history, but whatever.” – Nadia Bolz-Weber

Scandalous women also had their place in the early church. There are several Biblical figures that could be called scandalous women. Here is an interesting article about women in the early church.

From the PVCC newsletter archives, this week in 1976:  Last week we considered the social or political revolution stemming from the inequities between the rich and the poor nations and the need to find ways of redressing the grotesquely unjust balances that result. …Our house churches will grapple with the technological revolution, brought by the highly refined electronic techniques of automation and cybernation.
