FROM OUR INTERIM PASTOR ~ CELEBRATING PVCC

Our theme this fall is “Revival of the Spirit – Faith Acting Through Love Transforming the World.” We are celebrating the life of the spirit and our own spiritual revival. I have enjoyed the personal stories of the last two Sundays, and look forward to the weeks ahead. My thanks goes out to all who are sharing stories with us. Your stories enrich our faith.

There are many opportunities to share our faith outside of worship. Let me highlight a few. The younger set is going to the Roller Skate Party on Sunday, September 22. More of us can join the Pride Parade on Sunday, September 29th. It’s not too late to buy a Pridefest button.  If we have 8 people sign up to attend the Camp Gala on Saturday, October 5th we will have a PVCC Table. That would be awesome. I’ll sign up. I hope Amanda and I will have company. The weekend of November 22 some of us will be going to Fort Benning, Georgia to join others demanding the closing of The School of the Americas/WHINSEC. And, now is a good time to talk with Jon Lane if you are interested in learning more about the Kansas Leadership Council training for Faith Leadership: Transforming Communities.

In addition to these events, we have active ministry teams providing congregational leadership, caring for one another and enriching our life together.

Peace, David Hansen
