FROM OUR INTERIM PASTOR

Last year about this time I was thinking of the musical Porgy and Bess and the song, “It’s summer time.” The fish are jump’n, the cotton is high and the liv’n is easy. People will soon be headed here and there in the coming months for long anticipated vacation trips, or welcoming the chance to stay at home and tend the garden. Another song that I think about this time of year says, “Inch by inch and row by row, going to make my garden grow. All it takes is a rake and a hoe and a piece of fertile ground.”

As we head into the Memorial Day Weekend let me wish you safe travel, an easy pace in these warm days and  a thankful heart for the blessings we too often take for granted.

Peace,

David
